Honoring Spirit through Creativity

Welcome

Welcome to ANDRA~SPIRIT Creative Playshops. I am happy and grateful that you found your way here.

I have been a creative person all of my life. I have also been a spiritual seeker and finder.

When I combined the two, Spirituality with Creativity, I found a winning combination.

This is how I feel about my work:

I am grateful for the people who attend my PLAYSHOPS. I know that what I do contributes to the lives of others and helps the inter-connected Universe work.

At an ANDRA~SPIRIT Playshop, we learn something and we create something related to the topic. The topics include learning how to embrace change to learning about Spiritual symbols. Our creations can include decorative bookmarks to small wall hangings.

No great skill is needed. Just your willingness to learn and have fun. You willmeet new friends and create something beautiful.

This is what I see as my mission:

To guide others to recognize their own unique gifts, to coach them to fulfill their highest potential and to help them think a “NEW THOUGHT”  about themselves and the Universe.

So join me for an ANDRA~SPIRIT Playshop.

About Me

My name is Andra Lyss.I am a powerful, creative Spiritual being having a human experience. During this human experience, I have been a daughter, sister, wife, mother, student and teacher

Among my creative expressions, I have been a seamstress, artist and crafts-person.

I have lived in the Northeast, the Southeast and the West and have gained valuable gifts from the time I spent in each area.  I have learned from the people I have met along the way and especially from my children.

All of the above are facts, but not the truth of who I am. Let me tell you a little more about myself.

The Universe has given me many gifts. The gift of intelligence, the gift of a sense of humor (boy, did I need that one), the gift of creativity (read messy), the gift of curiosity (which got me into  trouble sometimes).

When I was 19, I met my husband Bruce. I recognized and felt a connection right away. When he said to me “You’re fine just the way you are”, I knew he was a keeper.

Then I was given two tiny gifts. One was my son Andrew who somehow knew I was up to the task of being his mother. I had him for 23 years until he went on to another plane of existence.

When my son was 9 years old my daughter Jenna arrived. She is truly my best friend and whether I’m the mother or she is, we have been together through many incarnations.  Since she was a little girl I have been asking, “Who are you?”  She would get this sheepish grim on her face as if to say, “If I told you, you might not believe me.” Now I know.

In 2000, my daughter led me to the teaching called Science of Mind. After the Celebration at the Center for Spiritual Living,  Asheville, NC, I said this is what I’ve been looking for all of my life. I always knew these concepts but didn’t know what they were called or that other people knew them also. I felt as if i’d found the rest of my tribe.

The Science of Mind teaching has helped me realize that the experiences of my childhood were really gifts and gave me the tools to use what I had learned. But the greatest gift this teaching has given me is __ME.  The Me I knew I could be, the Me I knew I was. I gained the courage to let go of the baggage of the past and for that I am grateful.

And now when I hear that little voice in my head that says, “Who do you think you are?” I say to it, “I am a powerful, creative spiritual being and so it is.”

Through my playshops, I would love to get to know you.
